Project Title: Roos Wraps Program
Project Description:
The Roos Wraps Program focuses on providing support to medically-
vulnerable or fragile babies through the integration of tummy time to their
physical development using Sweet Dreams Foundation’s Roos Wraps. Roos
Wrap is a 3-in-1 wrap that grows with the baby to support their healthy
development. Also, it is designed by experts to make tummy time, sitting up,
and learning to walk physically and emotionally easier, so that the child feels
strong, independent, and ready to explore. Through this, we aim to raise
awareness on the importance of tummy time as a great way to improve a
child’s physical development, digestion, and balance.
Aside from the direct benefits it gives to babies, the Roos Wrap is also a
great workout tool for moms because it is also a workout garment that allows
adults to exercise with their babies. It is an excellent postpartum exercise for
moms to increase their blood flood, get energized, and strengthen their body
while releasing endorphins that create a state of joy and reduce the chance
of postpartum depression. It is as easy as sliding the tube around their
calves and placing the baby on the legs while securing the baby using the
pouch.
The benefits of the Roos Wrap include, but are not limited, to the following:
Strengthening the head, neck, and trunk muscles of the baby during
tummy time
Facilitating visual tracking and hand-eye coordination of the baby
Creating the baby’s body awareness
Supporting the baby’s ability to sit up
Practicing balance and further supporting the baby’s learning to walk
Creating a bond between the baby and the mother
Aids in proper digestion or prevents indigestion
Total Project Budget: $50 per baby. Our goal is to give Roos Wraps to 500 babies for the holidays in 2021 and to 5,000 babies in 2022.
