Project Title: Kids of Detroit Hope Center
Project Description:
Detroit Hope Center is seeking funding support to help launch and sustain a Christian-centered childcare and early childhood development program serving approximately 25 to 50 children within the Detroit community.
Our vision is to provide a safe, nurturing, educational, and faith-based environment where children from families of any income range are welcomed and supported. While there are many childcare options in the Detroit area, Christian-centered programs that intentionally combine educational readiness with biblical foundations remain limited.
The program will incorporate daily prayer, Bible-based character development, and a curriculum that integrates Christian beliefs alongside early childhood educational instruction. Children will receive structured developmental support designed to encourage emotional growth, positive social interaction, academic readiness, and strong moral foundations during their formative years.
Funding received through the Hermanowski Family Foundation would assist with startup and operational needs including classroom supplies, educational curriculum, childrenβs furniture, developmental learning materials, safety equipment, and faith-based educational resources necessary to establish and maintain the program.
I personally bring over 20 years of childcare and youth development experience through operating a successful daycare program, educational support services, mentoring, behavioral support work, and special-needs care.
Detroit Hope Center already actively serves the local community through outreach programs including food assistance, ESL support, Deaf community outreach, youth enrichment opportunities, and hot meal programs. This childcare initiative represents an extension of our mission to strengthen families and invest in the next generation through compassionate, Christ-centered care.
Total Project Budget: The application and inspection process is just under $5,000 and the remaining funds would be used to purchase materials and items for the program
