Project Title: D.A.D. Mental & Physical Health Well Being
Project Description:

Good Evening I hope this email finds you in good spirit . My name is Coach Davis and I started a not for profit organization Ein# 863129748 called (D.A.D.) Davis Athletics Development . D.A.D. Is designed to be a Sports and Mentoring Program crafted to support at-risk and underprivileged youths, particularly in underserved communities. We offer top-notch sports training, including structured gameplay and tournaments. While our sports program is recognized for its excellence on all levels, our primary focus extends beyond the field. We are tirelessly dedicated to providing mentorship and essential life skills, ensuring that all participants thrive both on and off the sports courts and fields. It’s important to note that everything we offer to our participants is entirely free of charge and our staff works on a volunteer basus . Our primary focus as of late is our participants mental health and overall well being . We have seen a rise in depression and suicidal attempts . We recently just sadly had one of our sixteen (16) year old participant take his life with an Intentional drug overdose. To counter this we have brought in Mental Health experts to speak and educate our participants . We are trying to continously to educate our participants on the signs of depression and to let them know they are not alone and help is available . Another affective measure is to have basketball tournaments and events for girls and boys and individuals with Autism, with the theme being Mental Health Awareness . In these sporting events we bring in experts in various mental heath fields to be present and to interact with our participants and their families , all throughout the event . We would Ideally like to expand this very effective program on a broader platform to many more Youths and Young Adults . If you can help us in anyway possible with this very important and much needed underfunded program it would be greatly appreciated . I thank you so much for your time and looking forward to hearing from you soon .
