Improving and transforming the lives of children and young adults.

The primary purpose of The Charles and Joan Hermanowski Family Foundation is to improve and transform the lives of children and young adults living in the United States. We hope to provide them with the necessary tools to succeed and to achieve their full potential.

The foundation has no paid employees. All members have volunteered their time and skills in order to maximize funds available for distribution.

The foundation focuses on all aspects of a child’s life up to age 21. The foundation provides support to qualifying charitable organizations that are involved in arts, education, health and welfare services.

• Letters of Interest qualifying for review must be received between January 1 and March 31 each year.
• Review and recommendations by the advisory board will follow.
• The Board of Directors will vote on recommendations.
• Letters to chosen grant seekers requesting a full proposal will be emailed during July.
• The foundation does not notify grant seekers of their acceptance or rejection. A Request for Proposal signifies acceptance for the charities chosen.
• Full proposals must be received by August 31.
• Grants are awarded each year during October.
• Grants are to be fully utilized in the year following the grant.
