Project Title: "Hopeful Harvest: Nourishing Lives, Restoring Dignity
Project Description:

"Hopeful Harvest: Nourishing Lives, Restoring Dignity" is a transformative project committed to addressing the multifaceted challenges of homelessness, hunger, and mental health within vulnerable populations, including troubled teens, veterans, and families.

Our project encompasses three main pillars:

Immediate Relief and Shelter: We provide safe and welcoming shelters for those in need, coupled with nutritious meals. This ensures that individuals and families facing homelessness have access to basic necessities and a secure environment.

Empowerment Through Training: A core component is our culinary training program, designed to equip participants with valuable skills. This not only contributes to their immediate well-being but also provides a pathway to employment and self-sufficiency.

Mental Health Support: Recognizing the intersectionality of homelessness and mental health challenges, we offer tailored mental health support, especially focusing on troubled teens. The goal is to break stigmas, provide counseling, and create a supportive environment for emotional well-being.

In the next phase of our project, we aim to establish a dedicated dormitory tailored for troubled teens. This space will integrate rehabilitation, educational support, and mental health services, addressing the unique needs of this vulnerable demographic.

Through these initiatives, we aspire to create lasting change by not only offering immediate relief but also fostering resilience, empowerment, and community. Our vision is to break the cycle of homelessness, provide a platform for sustainable living, and inspire a broader societal shift towards understanding and addressing the root causes of homelessness.

Project Title: F.U.N.D. M.E. Financially Understanding Needs for Developing Men Emotionally
Project Description:

Tailormade Ministries, Inc have various outreach programs designed to give hope to those in need
who are directly connected to someone who is suffering hardship due to the lack of financial, emotional, mental, or physical help to assist in navigating through life. Transitional solutions is designed to empower young men who are motivated to thrive in endeavoring to attend college with support of mentorship and supplies to assist them during their first semester of college. The men I am targeting to help have experienced personal trauma that involves the absence of an immediate parent due to death, incarceration, or abandonment. Mentorship will allow them to connect with a community of likeminded men who have a common core of emotional distress. Our goal is to place them with a personal mentor who will invest in their development by giving them tools of courage and confidence to build discipline and tenacity so that opposition will not cause them to crush but enhance them to thrive and soar towards reaching their goal of certification or graduation which ever comes first. It is important to me to invest in the financial foundation of a successful man by mentally establishing positive relationships that will serve as pillars of advancement to strengthen their mind to focus on a new concept in order to gain a new outcome. Having dorm essentials such as curtains, towels, toiletries, bedding will mentally comfort the soul and soothe the body after a long day of instruction. I want to give hope and stability into the framework of young men endeavoring to build knowledge and expand growth despite the unstable situation they may have derived from. The resources of support will allow them to reach for and obtain their goal with ease. I launched this project title F.U.N.D. M. E. because so many students don’t have the emotional support they need from the adults closest to them. They are smart, talented, ambitious, and a developed skillset, but have barriers of restriction hindering them from becoming great. I am presently a Senior at the University of Houston transitioning through college at 48 for a degree in Education without the support of my parents. They are both deceased after 58 years of marriage. I have four grown children that I raised after their previously incarcerated father/my ex-husband was killed in a car wreck by a drunk driver. I am the founder of this organization and I value helping others because no one invested in me during my years of coping with the realities of a broken heart and a dream deferred. I have the passion and experience to help others navigate because I once travelled the same path alone. If granted the opportunity to help others, I am certain they will benefit from my services tremendously because of my personal testimony and my unique experience on the scenic route to my residence of victory. If not me, then who? If not now, then when? We must begin today removing oppositions so opportunities can present hope to the ones on their road to recovery. With the proper resources, lives will be impacted for the good!
