Project Title: Birthday Parties in a Box – for Children In Need
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, for many children their birthdays are NOT happy; but are uncertain, sad, and lonely — and they\u2019re often not celebrated due to a multitude of circumstances beyond their control.<\/p>\n
We partner with child advocates to provide birthday parties to children who might not otherwise have one. Once we receive a request, we pull together a unique and customized Birthday Box for the specific child which includes: tableware, decorations, party activity, party favors, cupcakes and candles, and a birthday gift and card. We then provide the birthday box to the parent or caregiver, dignifying their role in the child\u2019s life and making them the birthday hero!<\/p>\n
We anticipate providing 250 "Birthday Boxes" to children in need in 2022, at the cost of $100 each. A grant from the Hermanowski Foundation would enable our volunteer-run organization the means to prepare for and provide birthday cheer and celebration for children in need.<\/p>\n
Fully volunteer-led and with no overhead, 100% of the funds will go towards this specific effort!\n<\/p>\n
