Project Title: Stay-In-School Initiative for Teen Mom
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
This initiative is designed to support pregnant and parenting teens in economically disadvantaged communities. This initiative will establish partnerships with three public schools to provide on-site pre- and postpartum support services that promote academic persistence, emotional stability, and life skills development.
\nThrough structured Mommy Circle sessions and our creative \u201cPaint My Feelings\u201d emotional expression workshops, students will receive facilitated peer support, education on postpartum wellness, stress regulation strategies, and connection to community resources. These programs are designed to reduce isolation, improve coping skills, and strengthen students\u2019 ability to remain engaged in school during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
\nThe initiative will serve three schools during the school year. During this time, we will track participation, school engagement indicators, and self-reported measures of emotional well-being to assess program effectiveness. Evaluation findings will inform program refinement and long-term expansion.
\nOur goal is to stabilize young mothers during a vulnerable transition period so they can continue their education, build life skills, and work toward long-term economic mobility.\n<\/p>\n
