Hygiene care packages will be created and disbursed to Madison County and Decatur City School system to at least 500 elementary and middle school students who live in low-income neighborhoods and lack consistent access to daily essentials. The most requested hygiene needs are soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, deodorant, and hand sanitizers. Funding will assist us with reaching more children through package distribution, program awareness, and partnerships. Our program will primarily serve low-income students in minority and disadvantaged groups who do not have access to hygiene supplies and education compared to affluent populations. Our organization will advertise services and resources to parents of elementary and middle school students who live in or come from disadvantaged neighborhoods that are eager to improve their individual hygiene and self-esteem. With over 67% of the Madison County, Alabama population consisting of minority groups, we want to give equal access to daily essentials to low-income students to bridge the gap between economic groups. <\/p>\n
