Project Title: La Salle Scholars Institute (LSI): Academic Access & Success Initiative
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
La Salle High School seeks support for the La Salle Scholars Institute (LSI), a comprehensive academic support and enrichment initiative serving students in grades 9\u201312 who demonstrate financial need and academic potential. LSI provides structured tutoring, mentoring, college and career readiness programming, leadership development, and family engagement supports to ensure students have the tools necessary to thrive academically and beyond high school.<\/p>\n
While La Salle is a Catholic high school, its student body reflects significant socioeconomic diversity. Seventy percent of students come from low- to moderate-income households, and many are first-generation college-bound. LSI is intentionally designed to support students who may not otherwise have access to consistent academic intervention, enrichment programming, and professional mentorship.<\/p>\n
Through LSI, students receive individualized academic monitoring, tutoring in advanced coursework, leadership workshops, and structured exposure to post-secondary pathways. The program promotes both academic stability and long-term opportunity by strengthening study skills, confidence, and goal-setting behaviors during the critical high school years.<\/p>\n
The requested funds will directly support tutoring stipends, instructional materials, mentoring coordination, and college readiness programming during the 2026\u20132027 academic year. In the upcoming year, LSI is projected to serve approximately 120 students.<\/p>\n
By investing in LSI, the Hermanowski Family Foundation will help ensure that students from under-resourced households have equitable access to the academic tools, mentorship, and enrichment experiences necessary to achieve their full potential.<\/p>\n

Other Funding
\nSources For The Project (Committed & Potential): Committed funding includes institutional tuition assistance allocations, annual alumni and community contributions, and general operating support dedicated to student academic programming. Potential funding sources include regional foundations and corporate partners currently reviewing requests for the 2026\u20132027 academic year. The Hermanowski Foundation\u2019s support would complement these diversified funding streams and strengthen direct academic programming resources.<\/p>\n
Project Duration: August 1, 2026 \u2013 July 31, 2027 (12 months)
\nGeographical Area Served: Greater Cincinnati, Ohio, including Hamilton, Butler, and Clermont counties, as well as surrounding Northern Kentucky communities. Students enrolled at La Salle High School represent a diverse cross-section of urban and suburban neighborhoods within the region.
