The program seeks to address barriers that negatively impact youth success, including lack of mentorship, limited career exposure, and insufficient access to safe and constructive after-school environments.<\/p>\n<p>Through a holistic approach, participants receive consistent guidance from mentors, educational enrichment activities, and practical life-skills training that prepares them for adulthood, employment, and higher education. The program focuses on building confidence, improving decision-making skills, and creating clear pathways toward personal and professional success.<\/p>\n<p>Program Components<\/p>\n<p>The project includes the following core elements:<\/p>\n<p>Mentorship &amp; Leadership Development:<br \/>\nYouth are paired with experienced mentors who provide guidance, accountability, and personal development coaching.<\/p>\n<p>Academic &amp; Life Skills Support:<br \/>\nTutoring assistance, goal setting, financial literacy, communication skills, and conflict resolution training.<\/p>\n<p>Career Readiness &amp; Workforce Exposure:<br \/>\nCareer exploration workshops, entrepreneurship education, skilled-trade awareness, and workforce preparation activities.<\/p>\n<p>After-School Safe Space Programming:<br \/>\nStructured environments promoting positive social interaction, teamwork, and personal growth.<\/p>\n<p>Community Engagement &amp; Family Support:<br \/>\nActivities that strengthen family involvement and connect participants to community resources and opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>Need for the Project<\/p>\n<p>Many youth in the Chicago-area communities served by Save By Faith Children Foundation face socioeconomic challenges and limited access to supportive mentorship and positive developmental experiences.
