FAMILY Arts @ WHALER\u2019s Creation educates communities about the vast need for people to be foster\/adoptive parents and mentors while teaching job skills training to such youth. We give youth the necessary skills to be successful and achieve their full potential in jobs in the arts, education, health and welfare services. Our magazine Youth News is one way FAMILY Arts provides foster\/adopted and mentored youth an opportunity to meet professionals in every career field they want to pursue. <\/p>\n
Funds are requested for Youth News magazine and KFAM Youth Radio. Youth also have the opportunity to work with a clinical social worker to ensure they learn soft and hard skills, and necessary social work interventions to become confident, self-sufficient, and productive adults. The clinical social worker creates individualized treatment plans that meet their specific needs. <\/p>\n
Youth are able to gain the skills and knowledge needed to obtain entry-level positions in a loving and nurturing environment conducive to learning. Throughout all programs, our youth have the opportunity to work with a clinical social worker to ensure they learn soft and hard skills, and necessary social work interventions to become confident, successful, self-sufficient, and productive adults. The clinical social worker creates individualized treatment\/learning plans that meet their specific needs. <\/p>\n
