Rooted in the belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to grow, create, and succeed, the program provides safe, structured, and inspiring spaces where youth can build confidence, strengthen their well‑being, and envision brighter futures.

At the heart of the initiative is our commitment to nurturing the whole child. Through hands‑on arts workshops, youth explore creativity, self‑expression, and emotional resilience. Our Academic Success Hub offers tutoring, literacy support, STEM mini‑labs, and mentoring to help students overcome learning gaps and develop strong study habits. Complementing these efforts, our wellness and life‑skills sessions teach emotional regulation, healthy habits, communication, and goal‑setting—equipping youth with tools that extend far beyond the classroom.

Many of the young people we serve face barriers including food insecurity, academic challenges, limited access to enrichment programs, and emotional stress. PHCD provides a stable, encouraging environment where they can thrive socially, academically, and personally. With support from the Charles and Joan Hermanowski Family Foundation, we will expand program access, enhance arts and academic materials, and strengthen wellness programming to reach even more youth who need it most.

This initiative directly aligns with the Foundation’s mission to uplift children and young adults through arts, education, health, and welfare. By investing in PHCD, the Foundation helps ensure that young people in our community are not only supported today but empowered to build meaningful, successful futures.

Total Project Budget: Arts Supplies & Equipment – $3,500 Paints, canvases, digital art tools, music materials, and other creative supplies needed for youth arts programming.
