Through our flagship initiative, the 50 Yard Challenge, young people commit to completing 50 acts of service—such as mowing lawns, raking leaves, or performing other outdoor tasks—at no cost for elderly neighbors, individuals with disabilities, veterans, and single parents in their communities.

The project provides youth with a structured, goal-oriented framework that promotes personal responsibility, leadership, self-confidence, and a strong work ethic. Participants progress at their own pace, learning the value of commitment, integrity, and service while building life skills that extend far beyond the task itself. Each milestone reinforces positive self-image and accountability, helping youth see themselves as capable contributors to society.

Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service operates in all 50 states, with thousands of children participating nationwide. Texas consistently leads the country each year with the highest number of youth signing up and actively completing service, making it a key area of impact. The program is accessible to children from all backgrounds and does not require prior experience or resources—ensuring equity and inclusivity regardless of socioeconomic status.

Grant funding will support youth participants by providing essential program resources, safety equipment, educational materials, and operational support that allow children to serve safely and consistently. By engaging youth in meaningful service while meeting real community needs, this project creates lasting positive outcomes for both the children involved and the individuals they serve—fostering a generation of young people who are confident, compassionate, and committed to making a difference.

Total Project Budget: 50000

Other Funding
Sources For The Project (Committed & Potential): Committed Sources: Individual donations and monthly supporters, Corporate sponsorships for our mower of the month.
