Project Title: Art \/ Fitness Classes for Low Income Seniors
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
Students are elders from low-income homes that are at or below the poverty line in Miami. Currently (2025), AYUDA is offering free weekly art\/fitness classes open to all elders. This will ensure an increase in non-verbal emotional expression, focus, calming of the nervous system, increase in self-esteem and confidence and the establishment of bonding with new relationships. The project increases students’ quality of life and assists them in maintaining their social and personal independence in the community, to abate loneliness, isolation and depression.<\/p>\n
