Project Title: Spanish Suicide Prevention Training in Rural Nevada

The Life Is Worth It Organization respectfully requests $10,000 to expand Spanish-language suicide prevention training in rural Nevada communities. Hispanic and Latino residents in these areas face significant barriers to mental health education and services, including language access, geographic isolation, stigma, and limited culturally responsive resources. These barriers contribute to delayed help-seeking and increased risk for suicide and mental health crises.<\/p>\n
Funding will support the delivery of evidence-informed, culturally responsive suicide prevention trainings in Spanish for community members, parents, educators, and youth-serving professionals. Trainings focus on recognizing warning signs, reducing stigma, strengthening protective factors, and increasing awareness of local and statewide crisis resources. Emphasis is placed on building trust, promoting help-seeking behaviors, and equipping participants with practical skills to support individuals at risk.<\/p>\n
This investment will directly increase access to life-saving education in underserved rural communities, strengthen community capacity to respond to mental health concerns, and help ensure Spanish-speaking families receive equitable, culturally relevant suicide prevention support. <\/p>\n
