For the past 15 years, Cornerstone has been providing need-based scholarships to families. As the school has grown so has the need for scholarships. We currently have 176 students enrolled in junior kindergarten to 12th grade. Without scholarships a large part of our student body would not be able to afford private education as 42% of our students at Cornerstone get partial scholarships. This school year our scholarship committee distributed over $130,000 in scholarships, providing assistance to 82 students. A grant in the amount of $5000 would provide scholarship funds for at least two students.
\nCornerstone equips our students with high quality education in the liberal arts, including an emphasis on STEAM and the ability to articulate ideas and beliefs through training in logic and rhetoric. Our passion is to foster a love for learning in students with service-oriented hearts and creative, sharp minds.
\nOne hallmark of classical Christian schools is a generous tuition assistance program. This assistance makes a CCA education available to a much broader socioeconomic range of families. Even though tuition at CCA is lower than the national average for private Christian schools, there is still a great need in our community to help families be able to afford a Christ centered education for their children.
\nThe funds needed for scholarships are currently raised through generous support of many businesses, organizations, and individual donors. In addition to these contribution Cornerstone hosts three events each year to help raise the funds needed for scholarships. This past year we hosted a fall auction, a spring vision dinner, and a golf tournament. While these events are great for building community with our school family and donor base, they only provide a portion of the money needed for the annual scholarship fund. <\/p>\n
