St. Vincent de Paul North Sound Council provides free beds to children of impoverished families in North Puget Sound, WA. Our goal is to be able to fulfill every request from our volunteers when they witness a child sleeping on anything but a mattress. A good night\u2019s sleep is critical for growth and development, with your help, we will provide beds to children in need promoting over all wellbeing and support for low-income families.

\nWe are helping parents create a home for their children, many times a new bed is too much for the parents\u2019 budget. We received a call from a mom who had moved from a shelter and her and her three kids were all sharing an air mattress. We provided three new complete children\u2019s beds and the local conference supplied a new bed for her along with a couch, with their funds.
\nThe Beds for Children program has been since 2004, and we operate year-round, as we continue to receive funds, we provide new beds. The need for children\u2019s beds continues, our help line has been open throughout this crisis and following safety protocols, our volunteers have coordinated with the Council office for parents to be able to pick up new beds. Over 200-trained volunteers in Snohomish County, WA carry out our mission, and have supplied 202 new free beds in FY 19-20.\n<\/p>\n
