Project Title: Children’s Needs – Project Joy
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
Our Children\u2019s Needs Program is the core of what we do and the most comprehensive support we offer, serving more than 2400 youth a year. This program is designed to stabilize vulnerable families and meet the urgent needs of children who are in, or at risk of entering, the foster care system.<\/p>\n
We work directly with Case Managers and Child Protection Investigators who identify specific needs for the children they serve. From there, we move quickly to fill the gap\u2014whether that means delivering essentials like diapers, clothing, and car seats, or helping cover the cost of things that bring a sense of normalcy, like summer camp, music lessons, or a school field trip.<\/p>\n
No two children\u2019s situations are the same, but all children deserve to feel safe, supported, and included. The Children\u2019s Needs Program makes that possible.<\/p>\n
We\u2019re requesting this grant to help 100 children in foster care take part in enrichment activities that let them feel like kids again and ease the stress and anxiety caused by the trauma they\u2019ve experienced.<\/p>\n

We do have funders such as Franklin Templeton that awarded us a grant to cover the expense of laptops as educational needs, the Broadrick Family Foundation that provided a grant for beds and the United Way Pasco that provided a grant for safety items needed for licensing a home. <\/p>\n
