Project Title: Expanding Access to Girls on the Run Programs to Underserved Areas

In our service area (Dayton, Ohio), Girls on the Run (GOTR) is the only research\/evidence-based physical activity-positive youth development programs meeting the social-emotional and physical needs of elementary and middle school girls. Our programs are needed now, more than ever, as the students in our communities continue to deal with the adverse effect the pandemic has had on their physical, mental, emotional and social health and well-being. We want to ensure we make it possible for every girl who wants to participate in our program to do so. Our project aims to enable our organization to provide financial aid to cover our registration costs to any girl needs it, particularly in our underserved areas such as the Boys and Girls Club. We believe that our programs are for EVERY girl, regardless of her family’s financial situation. <\/p>\n
