Project Title: Victory Summer Program
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
The Miami-Dade community currently lacks adequate summer day camp opportunities for students affected by autism and other related developmental disabilities. Additionally, very few summer programs serve high school age students with behavioral challenges associated with autism. As the prevalence of autism continues to grow, The Victory Center offers a specialized full-day summer program for students on the autism spectrum, ages 2-22. The 9-week program gives families access to high quality and comprehensive behavioral therapy combined with individualized academic instruction, facilitated social interaction, and weekly enrichment field trips. Currently, Miami-Dade schools only offer half day programming geared towards secondary special-needs students. This type of programming traditionally only happens in the month of July and it is subject to available federal funding. The Victory Center has a proven track record for offering age-appropriate programming for both primary and secondary special-needs students. The Victory Center Summer programming is instructed by highly trained professionals and supervised by two onsite doctoral level Board-Certified Behavior Analysts.<\/p>\n
