Project Title: DC NEXT Choreographic Intensive

Our DC NEXT Choreographic Intensive introduces students, from a variety of backgrounds to the professional dance world. Of these students, 50% come from low-income households. This program, exposes students to a wide array of perspectives and creative experiences. The DC NEXT curriculum blends dance training, leadership development, and industry knowledge to prepare students for success beyond the studio. Over the course of a 4-week summer intensive, students dedicate 40 hours per week to classes, choreography workshops, and production courses led by our expert faculty. Through a partnership with Building Future Leaders, we provide tailored leadership curricula, helping students cultivate essential life skills. Additionally, distinguished guest artists and industry professionals offer mentorship and guidance, further inspiring and preparing our students for future endeavors. DC NEXT not only develops technical skills but also nurtures creative thinking, collaboration, and leadership, ensuring that our students leave with the tools to excel in both dance and life.<\/p>\n
