The project seeks to address the dual needs of comfort and literacy for children facing difficult circumstances, such as those in foster care, homeless shelters, and low-income households.

Through donations from generous individuals, local businesses, and corporate sponsors, Project Pajamas and Books distributes brand-new pajamas and age-appropriate books to children in need. Pajamas provide physical comfort, offering children a sense of security and warmth, while books help foster imagination, education, and a love of reading—tools that empower children to break free from cycles of hardship.

This project not only supports emotional well-being but also promotes early literacy by ensuring that every child has access to books that nurture curiosity, creativity, and learning. Our mission is to bring smiles to children’s faces while helping to lay the foundation for their future academic success and overall well-being.

We work closely with schools, shelters, and local child welfare organizations to identify children who would benefit most from these gifts. The project aims to make a lasting impact by offering both immediate comfort and long-term educational benefits to the most vulnerable members of our community.

By providing these simple yet powerful gifts, Project Pajamas and Books hopes to inspire a sense of hope, dignity, and belonging in every child it touches. Your generous donation would provide at least 250 children in need with a pair of pajamas and book to call their own.

Total Project Budget: $178,490

Other Funding
Sources For The Project (Committed & Potential): Angel Heart’s committed funding sources for the project include donations from individuals, corporate sponsorships from retail companies and bookstores, grants from corporations and foundations, contributions from small business owners and civic organizations, and support from Native American tribes and nations.
