Project Title: Courageous Parenting
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
Our Courageous Parenting Program aims to equip parents and caregivers in Northwest Ohio with the essential skills and tools needed to foster healthy family dynamics and address the mental health challenges faced by children and teens in our community.<\/p>\n
The purpose of this project is to provide comprehensive workshops, training sessions, and support groups that will empower parents to adopt effective parenting strategies tailored to their children’s developmental needs. Parents will learn practical techniques for healthy parenting skills as well as the neuroscience behind their child’s development, emotions, and behavior.<\/p>\n
Our project timeline spans throughout 2025, during which we plan to conduct 4 one-day workshops for elementary parents and 4 five-week groups for parents of teens, and up to three educational workshops as requested by our community. Past topics have included parenting adult children, ADHD-specific parenting, and childhood depression and anxiety. This targeted and community-centered approach will allow us to reach a diverse audience and create a lasting impact on families in Northwest Ohio.<\/p>\n
