Project Title: Mental Health Awareness Month Events
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
Oakland Made Teen Center is dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of Oakland\u2019s youth ages 13-19. During Mental Health Awareness Month in May of 2026, we will host a series of events designed to educate, uplift, and empower teens. Our initiative will include workshops, panel discussions, and creative sessions focused on coping skills, stress management, and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. Local therapists, wellness coaches, and community leaders will provide practical tools and resources to help teens navigate their mental health journey. <\/p>\n
Key events include a Teen Wellness Summit to kick off the month with guest speakers and interactive discussions, Healing Through Art & Music workshops using creative expression to promote emotional well-being, and Mind & Movement activities incorporating meditation and fitness for stress relief. We will also host Real Talk: Mental Health & Teens, a panel discussion featuring experts and youth voices addressing challenges like anxiety, depression, and social pressures. The month will conclude with a Resource Fair & Community Day, connecting teens with mental health services, mentorship programs, and self-care tools.<\/p>\n
