The ZGiRLS Confidence Program is designed to tackle the critical issue of low self-confidence and self-worth among girls. In 2021, nearly 60% of teen girls reported persistent sadness or hopelessness, and almost one in three contemplated suicide. A 2023 ROX report found that 66% of girls don\u2019t voice their opinion because they want to be liked, and 57% believe they aren\u2019t smart enough for their dream job. This lack of confidence limits girls\u2019 willingness to take risks, pursue their goals, or speak up in situations where their input is essential. These issues don’t simply disappear with age; they perpetuate into adulthood, undermining potential and limiting contributions to society.
\nThe ZGiRLS Confidence Program addresses these challenges by nurturing confidence in young girls between the ages of 11-14. This is a formative period in their lives where intervention can prevent the long-term impacts of poor self-esteem. By establishing a strong foundation for lifelong mental wellness, our programs aim to disrupt the disturbing trends we’re witnessing and unlock the full potential of the next generation.
\nThe ZGiRLS Confidence Program is a transformative four-week, online mentoring program led by Olympic and professional female athletes who guide participants through the ZGiRLS Curriculum\u2122. The curriculum, designed by mental health professionals and child psychologists, educates girls on how to develop a growth mindset, build self-worth, take on challenges, learn from failure, and advocate for themselves. The female athlete mentors enhance every program\u2019s effectiveness by demonstrating the power of mental fortitude through sharing their own experiences, challenges, and successes with the participants. <\/p>\n
