Project Title: Hippo-therapy Training 2025 Programming

Founded in 2022, our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and provide permanent homes for horses discarded by the racing industry, many of which are facing slaughter. <\/p>\n
Our sanctuary is more than just a place for horses. It’s a community hub that fosters the bond between horses and humans. We open our doors weekly to homeschool groups, assisted living groups, church groups, and volunteers.<\/p>\n
Our mission is deeply personal. Our founder’s son was diagnosed with a genetic degenerative disease at the age of 6 and she saw firsthand the transformative power of hippo-therapy. At Zorro’s, we are committed to providing other children with special needs the same opportunity for therapeutic and rehabilitative treatment with horses that have the potential to transform their lives, helping with coordination, balance, and strength.<\/p>\n
We have recently launched a hippo-therapy program and forged a valuable partnership with Sue Soha, an experienced physical therapist and hippo-therapy instructor\u2014 https:\/\/specialsettingspt.com\/hippotherapy. Grant funding is necessary for the growth of our program. With your support, we can dedicate more personalized time to training our hippo-therapy horses. This will significantly expand our program’s reach and impact, allowing us to serve more special needs children.<\/p>\n
