Designed to provide a safe and structured environment, PAL empowers youth by promoting leadership, teamwork, and personal growth.

At PAL, we offer a variety of sports programs, including basketball, soccer, boxing, and baseball, helping participants develop physical fitness, discipline, and sportsmanship. Beyond athletics, our academic enrichment and mentorship programs provide tutoring, career guidance, and life skills training, ensuring that children and teens have the support they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

A key component of PAL is the direct involvement of law enforcement officers, who serve as coaches, mentors, and role models. By fostering trust and mutual respect, PAL strengthens community bonds and encourages positive interactions between youth and police officers.

Our program is open to children and teens of all backgrounds, with a special focus on at-risk youth who benefit from structured activities and guidance. PAL is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where young people can build confidence, make lasting friendships, and develop the skills necessary for a bright future.

Through sports, mentorship, and community engagement, PAL helps shape responsible, resilient, and successful individuals—one child at a time.

Total Project Budget: 195000

Other Funding
Sources For The Project (Committed & Potential): National Police Athletic League, Rosies, Sentara, Towne Bank, City of Hampton, Langley Christain Church,

Project Duration: All year
Geographical Area Served: Hampton Roads
Age Group To Be Served: 8- 13

Contact Information

Contact Prefix (Mr,Mrs etc.): Mr. Wayne Gomes
Contact First Name: Wayne
Contact Last Name: gomes
Contact Title: Executive Director
Contact Phone: 7572706757
Contact Email: vba61s@gmail.com

Hermanowski Family Foundation Initial Request Form Organization Name: Hampton Roads Police Athletic League Legal Name (if Different): Hampton Roads Police Athletic League Also Known As: HR PAL Mailing Address: 784 N.
