Project Title: After School Program
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
The Westside’s After School Program (ASP) provides a safe place that serves at-risk youth. Students come to escape the stresses they face on a daily basis, receive academic help from tutors, and enjoy a meal twice a week. The ASP schedule is: Monday and Wednesday from 3:15 to 7:00 PM for middle school, and Tuesday and Thursday from 3:15 to 5:30 PM for high school. When students arrive at the ASP, they report what homework they have to complete and fil out a grade check. Homework\/tutoring time takes place from 4-5 PM, and dinner is served from 5-5:30 PM. On Mondays and Wednesdays, our middle school students head to their chosen electives until 7 PM. In the 2023-2024 school year we served 98 students. Grant funds would be used for overall project funding, including supplies, personnel, food, activities, and more. Grant funding will significantly enhance the After School Program by expanding our reach, improving the quality of resources, and introducing new, impactful elements. <\/p>\n

\nSources For The Project (Committed & Potential): Potential funding: We have requested a total of $15,000 in submitted grant applications so far in 2025 towards Youth Education at the Westside. We will continue to submit an average of 3 grant applications per month. Committed funding: We maintain a consistent donor base of individuals ($12,000 per month) who support our General Operating Budget monthly. We also receive one-time donation gifts throughout the year to support our General Operating Budget.<\/p>\n
