Project Title: Equine assisted therapy

We are an equine assisted therapy organization that helps children and their families heal, learn, and grow through the power the of the human-animal connection, regardless of ability to pay for services. Our primary service that we offer is individual equine assisted therapy. This novel approach to therapy lends itself to working with those who have been hardest to reach and thus not able to fully benefit from traditional talk therapy. In turn, we work with a lot of low-income families as well as foster care youth because those hardest to reach often closely correlates with those who do not have the funds to pay for services. We currently serve about 15 youth through our individual equine assisted therapy program, and offer 1\/3 of those services at a discounted rate anywhere from 25% to 75% reduction in fees. This grant would allow us to continue to offer our services to these families at a discounted rate by offsetting the cost for our services. <\/p>\n
