"Start Strong" is designed to address the critical needs of preschool and early elementary educators by providing them with essential literacy resources, classroom materials, and support for their students. Recognizing the social determinants that affect a child’s ability to learn to read\u2014such as access to books, home literacy environments, and economic disparities\u2014this program ensures that educators in underserved communities have the tools they need to foster strong literacy foundations.<\/p>\n
Through partnerships with local nonprofits, schools, and community organizations, Treasures 4 Teachers will offer teachers discounted or free access to age-appropriate books, early literacy tools, and classroom materials specifically tailored to the developmental needs of young children. Additionally, the program will provide training and workshops for educators to better understand the social factors that impact literacy, empowering them to create supportive, equitable learning environments.<\/p>\n
