The STEM, Literacy, Arts & Athletics Program looks to close the educational gap in the areas of science, math, and literacy including financial literacy, arts activities, and non-traditional sports for youth. Science and math projects, expanded arts activities, reading, poetry slams, banking, non-traditional sports, field trips, mentoring, and anti-bullying activities promote a well-rounded program.
\nObjectives and Goals:
\nThe STEM program is for Grades 2-12 includes 3D printing, aeronautics, coding, engineering, and robotics.
\nAfter-school programming will provide tutoring with an emphasis on literacy and math.
\nFree STEM camps are operated on non-school attendance days.
\nEight-week, summer program to bridge the STEM and literacy educational gaps.
\nImproves the access to higher education for youth and teens.
\nObjectives have expected outcomes and are flexible based on student\u2019s levels.
\nAge-appropriate technology, engineering, and arts projects will be incorporated.\n<\/p>\n
