As a school serving 96% girls of color, with 88% coming from low-income families, our students often face compounding stressors that impact their emotional well-being. This retreat will provide a day of healing through mindfulness workshops, movement-based wellness activities, art therapy, and guided discussions led by mental health professionals. By fostering resilience, self-care strategies, and peer support, we aim to equip our students with tools to navigate stress and trauma, ensuring they can continue to thrive academically and personally.
