Fresh Start for Children and Families is requesting funding to support our Life Skills Program, specifically to provide vital counseling services for the children entering our program. These funds will ensure that children receive the support they need at no cost to them, helping them navigate the trauma and challenges of homelessness.<\/p>\n
We recognize the deep impact that instability has on a child\u2019s emotional and mental well-being. Many of the children who come to Fresh Start have experienced significant hardship, and without proper counseling, their ability to heal and thrive is greatly affected. Through our partnership with Beyond Expectations, we provide on-site counseling in the comfort of their own home or at our Family Center. This creates a safe, supportive environment where both children and mothers can begin their healing journey.<\/p>\n
At Fresh Start, we believe in restoring hope and rebuilding lives. Our mission is to help families achieve long-term self-sufficiency by providing safe housing, life skills training, and resources for success. Counseling is a key part of this mission, giving children and their mothers the tools they need to overcome past trauma and build a better future.<\/p>\n
With this funding, we can continue to provide these essential services and give children the stability and support they deserve. Together, we can break the cycle of homelessness and create lasting change for families in Okaloosa County.<\/p>\n
