Be Strong’s Student Representative Program is an innovative peer-to-peer student volunteer program that recruits, trains, equips, and supports young change agents (8-17 years old), targeting disadvantaged communities. These courageous leaders and their peer impact groups (average 8+ members) are the frontline of strengthening mental, emotional, and relational health. They are equipped to connect their struggling peers with the help they need – without needing to be experts themselves. Eligible students receive free therapy through our partner BetterHelp.<\/p>\n
With your generous support, Be Strong will identify and support 50 middle\/high schools with a student leader \u2013 furthering scale of our programs fostering social-emotional skills and student well-being. These vulnerable, courageous youth are at risk – directly affected by mental\/emotional health challenges \u2013 and through Be Strong training and support are equipped to connect their struggling peers in crisis with the help they need – without needing to be experts themselves, and are armed with the free + anonymous Be Strong App (360\u00b0 location for strengthening mental, emotional, and relational health, bolstered with immediate and ongoing help. Includes resources, local support (top connections include food, housing, escaping violence, etc.), 24\/7 crisis counselors by phone\/text & programs).<\/p>\n
