Amandla Community Resource Hub is seeking funding to provide a comprehensive community based workforce development program to provide employment preparation and training for 60 community young adults involved with the criminal justice system, second chance programs or those needing support with entering the workforce. Under the direction of our community partnership, Homestead NFP will seek to purchase one of the seven hundred abandon properties in the R3 High Needs Community of Sauk Village. In support of Project Rebuild, Amandla Community Resource Hub will work with Homestead to screen and recruit, train and case manage 60 ( 15 per quarter) to participate in a one-year workforce development program. Each quarter 15 of the 60 participants will be rotated to support the revitalization of the home remodeling project. The population to be served will be residents from Sauk Village High Need Area located in Cook-Suburban and other nearby communities such as Chicago Heights.<\/p>\n
