Project Title: Addressing the educational needs of Long Beach

Despite the significant efforts made by local organizations to support children in the Long Beach area, many continue to face barriers to accessing quality education. According to the recent data published by the California Department of Education more than half of the student population living in the Long Beach area are classified as economically disadvantaged. <\/p>\n
Addressing these Monarch’s Gift aims to empower these young minds with essential resources required to compete in the 21st century. Our proposed solution is structured to tackle economic disparities and support children with communication disabilities (particularly those with autism).<\/p>\n
To achieve this goal, we aim to empower 30 students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by equipping them with 30 iPads with the LAMP app (Language Acquisition through Motor Planning) to help these students communicate and engage more fully with their surroundings.<\/p>\n
