The Assuaged Job Placement Program is designed to prepare students entering the Public Health field with essential technical skills and knowledge on significant issues within their chosen areas. This initiative emphasizes the development of responsible and effective communication strategies for digital public health campaigns, using technology to make a tangible impact on communities in need. Participants can earn a Public Health Leadership Certificate, which adheres to Higher Learning Commission guidelines and is pending full accreditation.<\/p>\n
The program also focuses on personal mental health and self-care, recognizing that positive change begins with individual well-being. Supporting students’ mental health creates a "ripple effect" that benefits the entire team.<\/p>\n
Conducted entirely through virtual platforms such as Google Meets, WhatsApp, Monday, and Slack, the program aims to familiarize students with vital technology and break geographic barriers to enhance career placement prospects. These platforms are used for workshops, networking events, and mentoring sessions, connecting interns with industry professionals nationwide.<\/p>\n
The program includes workshops on creating ATS-formatted resumes, strategic job searches, and effective cover letters, which aim to reduce job search frustration. Additionally, it combats the isolation often associated with technology-based work through a robust support and mentoring system involving military veterans and industry professionals who provide guidance and encouragement.<\/p>\n
