The Seacrest Learning Lab at Seacrest Country Day School is specifically designed to support students with language-based learning differences, such as dyslexia and ADHD, through a structured, multisensory approach. The lab utilizes the Orton-Gillingham curriculum, which is scientifically validated to aid students in building effective reading and writing skills through phonics-based, hands-on learning methods. This approach is systematic, ensuring that students receive personalized and direct instruction tailored to their unique needs. <\/p>\n
In addition to the foundational curriculum, the Learning Lab also aims to enrich the learning environment with ergonomic furniture that supports student engagement and comfort. Plans to include standing desks and other furniture conducive to learning align with the lab’s goal to create a dynamic learning space that accommodates various learning styles and needs.
