The volunteer-led CNYDB distributes free diapers to families in need through a network of local partner agencies. Diapers are a basic need for babies but are not covered by SNAP or WIC benefits. An adequate supply for one baby can cost more than $100\/month. Families are making the impossible choice of buying food or buying diapers. Diaper need has physical and emotional consequences for babies and their families. Receiving a monthly supplement of diapers keeps babies happy and healthy and reduces a tremendous burden on families.<\/p>\n
