The Boys & Girls Clubs of Inland Valley serves over 2,00 youth across two Clubhouses per year with homework help, sports and fitness programs, healthy snack and dinners, enrichment programs and more. The Club opened in June of 2014 and will be celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year. We have served over 8,000 youth since opening and will be expanding to open another Clubhouse in the coming year. The Club is asking for operating support to be able to increase our capacity and allocate funds where they are needed most. The Club has become an essential part of the communities they serve by providing after-school programming for youth, as well as transportation services, enrichment programs, sports leagues, and day camps on non-school days. The Club’s expenses for utilities and costs to run its programs has increased greatly over the past few years due to inflation and other factors. The need for a safe place for kids to go after-school and during school breaks has increased. The Club is a safe haven for many youth whether that\u2019s having a trusted adult to talk to, trying a new sport for the first time, or getting the homework help they need. The Club fills a need for many parents as well who work and rely on a safe place for their child to go so they are not home alone. Club members participate in programs in five core areas: Character & Leadership Development, Education & Career Development, Health & Life Skills, The Arts, and Sports, Fitness and Recreation.<\/p>\n
