Elevated Outcomes is a leadership development program that supports young minority girls and women through mentorship, coaching, and educational workshops. This program is one of several entry points for young women of color to engage in Ambassadors of Change programs.
\nAOC fundamentally shares in the mission to encourage, empower, and enlighten communities, states, and nations. Elevated Outcomes will cultivate an expansion mindset through educational forums and events that impact our communities and subsequently our nation and the world.<\/p>\n
Program participants will leave the Elevated Outcomes events with increased confidence, knowledge, and a sense of empowerment to become agents of change in their communities and to advocate for causes they are passionate about.<\/p>\n
Elevated Outcomes strives to remove perceived and systematic barriers that prevent young minority girls and women from attaining their optimal success as leaders in all endeavors. A staggering 75% of minority girls and young women struggle with low self-esteem, leading them to engage in harmful behaviors such as drugs, drinking, bullying, eating disorders, and suicidal thoughts. Additionally, young minority women say that the top three biggest barriers to taking on leadership roles and changing their communities are being laughed at, speaking in front of others, and shyness.<\/p>\n
AOC staff will work to empower 500 minority girls and young women by hosting 10 annual events in Georgia, Texas, and Alabama. The events will teach self-advocacy, self-love, resume building, interview skills, and communicating with impact.<\/p>\n
Our goal is to engage young minority girls and women by enhancing their knowledge, expanding their access to resources, and providing them with the confidence that excellence is attainable.\n<\/p>\n
