Project Title: Providing Emergency Child Care
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
Child Care Connections would like $10,000 to fund up to Emergency Child Care for young children ages 0-5, as we have seen this type of fund, and the program we have built around it, makes the most impact to young families, single mothers, and their young children. Emergency Child Care provides up to three months of child care costs and can be used for emergencies, or during a job transition (schooling\/re-training), and payments are made directly to licensed or legally operating child care providers. The program also goes beyond child care assistance by offering one-on-one resource meetings with CCC’s Family Engagement Coordinator (FEC). These meetings provide wraparound support to mothers and families, helping them navigate the challenges of parenting and connecting them with additional resources and services. The children receive care, nurturing and the pre-school education that is foundational to building skills that will help them be successful academically and socially. The FEC, who is fluent in Spanish and actively involved in diverse community groups, ensures that the program is inclusive and accessible to all children.<\/p>\n
Child Care Connections is a trusted community partner with years of experience and we are committed to meeting the early education and child care needs of Montana\u2019s children. CCC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves as the Child Care Resource and Referral Agency in Gallatin, Lewis and Clark, Park, Meagher, Jefferson, and Broadwater Counties. Research demonstrates that consistent nurturing child care, with good parenting, helps children develop to their full potential. Child Care Connections supports families and the local economy by encouraging quality child care and safety while addressing the disparities in early childhood education and child care in Southwest Montana by working in three main areas: availability, affordability, and quality. <\/p>\n
