Project Title: ADDA Collegiate Program

The Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA) is a 501(c)(3) catered to adults living with ADD and ADHD. Originally founded over 30 years ago, the organization was created out of necessity by other adults suffering from the complexities of Attention Deficit Disorder. The founders of ADDA saw the need to equip adults with the tools to succeed in a neurotypical world. Today, ADDA has grown to nearly 6,000 members. <\/p>\n
We convene once a year at the ADDA conference to learn more about the needs of our members. One of the most urgent needs is to help usher adolescents into young adulthood through a college program. The ADDA Collegiate program assists students with scholarships, and guidance in managing the workload of classes while living with ADHD. <\/p>\n
Members aged 18-21 gain tremendous knowledge tailored toward their specific needs through multiple tiers. Our ADDA Collegiate members can gain services that help them develop a community, connect and grow through mentorship courses, webinars, peer support groups, virtual events, and our own social media platform ADDA Social <\/p>\n
The Hermanowski grant will be used to fund our scholarship program and young adult member journey. The Collegiate Program will allow young adults to transition smoothly into our member journey. This will require the ADDA team to reinforce their online engagement practices through search engine optimization, and gamification of our website. <\/p>\n
With the $10,000 Hermanowski grant we can pay web developers, staff and focus our efforts on retaining the next generation of ADDA members. <\/p>\n
