Flow Freedom is a transformative initiative by Gentle Gratitude, dedicated to ensuring menstrual equity for young girls in Philadelphia. Our mission is to provide free menstrual hygiene products and educational workshops to 133 girls in grades 5-8 at E Washington Rhodes Elementary School in Philadelphia, who come from low-income households. The goal is to equip these girls with enough products to last throughout the ’25-’26 school year, both at school and at home, removing barriers to their education and well-being.<\/p>\n
Through Flow Freedom, we aim to empower these young girls by normalizing conversations about menstruation and providing them with the tools and knowledge to manage their periods with dignity and confidence. The initiative includes the distribution of 41,496 pads, as well as educational workshops that cover topics such as menstrual health, hygiene practices, and reproductive health education.<\/p>\n
To ensure the continuity of the Flow Freedom program for the ’25-’26 school year, we are providing the girls with disposable pads, period underwear, wipes, deodorant, and period pouches. These products are essential for maintaining menstrual hygiene and will help these girls stay healthy and focused on their education. We are committed to supporting these girls and ensuring they have access to the resources they need to thrive.<\/p>\n
