Revved Up Kids is on a mission to protect children and teens from sexual abuse and trafficking. We accomplish our mission by providing exceptional prevention training programs in partnership with some of the most highly regarded organizations in the metro-Atlanta area. Revved Up Kids is the only nonprofit in Atlanta whose sole focus is prevention, and we have equipped more than 45,000 children to be safer.
\nChild sexual abuse does not discriminate, it happens across all races, religions, cultures, and socio-economic classes and, more than 90% of the time, children know their abusers. It’s difficult to fathom that most victims are abused by the very people who should be their trusted protectors. Additionally, commercial sexual exploitation of children is now the second largest criminal enterprise in the world, and Atlanta is a hotbed.
\nRevved Up Kids charges tuition for groups who can afford to pay for our training, but it is our belief that no child should be denied this important training due to an inability to pay. We maintain a wait list of organizations who would like to offer our training for the children and teens they serve, but do not have the resources to fund it. As funds become available, we are able to offer training to these children. Our current wait list exceeds $20,000 in program requests. We work tirelessly to raise the funds to meet the needs of every organization requesting our services. Sadly, the demand for Revved Up Kids training continually exceeds our ability to raise sufficient funds. A grant from the Foundation would be used to provide training programs for the organizations on our wait list in 2025, including several institutional partnerships like the YMCA of Metro Atlanta.\n<\/p>\n
