Jenkins Athletic Club (JAC) requests a grant of $10,000 to support the Jenkins’ All-Stars: Academic and Athletic Afterschool Program, aimed at providing disadvantaged students in grades 3-5 with academic support and athletic instruction. Our program is designed to create a positive impact on academic performance, health, and social skills by combining educational tutoring with basketball training. <\/p>\n
The key components of the program include:
\n\u2022\tAcademic Education: Certified teachers will provide targeted learning in essential skills in reading and math.
\n\u2022\tTutoring Services: One-on-one support to address individual student needs.
\n\u2022\tHomework Support: Guided assistance to encourage consistent study habits.
\n\u2022\tBasketball Education: Coaches teach basketball skills, emphasizing teamwork and discipline.<\/p>\n

Needs Statement:
\nMany students in our community lack access to quality after-school programs due to financial constraints. Without constructive activities, they are at risk for academic underperformance and limited physical exercise. The JAC After School Program aims to bridge this gap, providing both academic and physical education.<\/p>\n
Project Timeline:<\/p>\n
The program will operate Monday through Friday, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., throughout the academic year.<\/p>\n
