At Eye Care 4 Kids, we believe every child who needs glasses should have them, regardless of socio-economic circumstances. Our mission is to provide professional vision care to low-income, visually impaired children and families. We recognize the inherent link between vision and education and are dedicated to giving all students the best chance at academic, social, and emotional success. Through the commitment of our network of community supporters, we remove barriers to good vision\u2014there should not be social inequality for children in providing this basic service.<\/p>\n
A high-impact solution to healthcare inequality, EyeCare4Kids\u2019 Sight 4 Success campaign is designed to make vital vision care services accessible to families from diverse backgrounds with limited financial resources. The \u201cSEE-MORE\u201d Mobile Vision Clinic brings the full menu of vision care services to schools, community centers, rural areas, and Native American reservations throughout the State. <\/p>\n
All children visiting our vision clinic receive a vision screening by a qualified technician, a vision evaluation and eye exam by an optometrist or ophthalmologist, and a quality pair of eyeglasses made in our state-of-the-art optical lab to their exact prescription (when needed). The eyewear package includes new frames with polycarbonate, scratch-resistant corrective lenses and UV coating, and a soft case. We negotiate with the largest manufacturers to get the latest styles and sizes. Our products have not been previously used or recycled. <\/p>\n
Given today\u2019s historic inflation, EyeCare4Kids is experiencing increased demand for help from parents, teachers, and community leaders looking for an affordable option to receive professional vision care. A new $6,000 grant from the Hermanowski Family Foundation will enable Eye Care 4 Kids to provide 300 vision care services for low-income children in the State of Utah. <\/p>\n
