Project Title: Project Rainbow – Period Protecting Blind Students
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
Project Rainbow provides free sanitary napkins to 140 blind girls of age group 9-16 who attend school despite their handicap. Due to lack of access to proper pads, these girls use non hygienic materials like rags or newspaper during their monthly cycle which leads to infection, forcing them skip school for few days every month and eventually drop out of school altogether.<\/p>\n
Pennies 4 Pads has been serving 3500 such students for over 3 years now and fully experienced in sourcing, distributing of sanitary pads and evaluating the impact of this work. We have shown amazing results in rural India, bringing school absenteeism due to menstrual health issues to almost zero level.<\/p>\n
