Project Title: Building A Smart Cent for A Strong Financial Foundation for Young Adults

New Choices New Minds, Inc. believes financial literacy is not solely a practical skill but a transformative tool for personal growth and social change. By providing the resources and guidance required to manage young adults’ finances wisely, we hope to inspire them to make positive choices for themselves and their communities.
\n After conducting a needs assessment in the Hampton Roads, Virginia, area, we have tailored our program to our target population’s needs for ages 16-21. Moreover, we have formed partnerships with local schools, community organizations, and financial institutions to ensure our initiative’s effective implementation and long-term sustainability. This project aims to help young adults at risk of dropping out of school, becoming homeless, or engaging in criminal activities by offering a comprehensive financial education program that covers budgeting, saving, investing, credit, debt, and entrepreneurship. The program includes mentoring, coaching, and counseling services to help overcome personal and social barriers to achieve academic and career goals.
\nConsidering our vision of fostering a more equitable and prosperous society through innovative and impactful initiatives, we believe our project aligns well with your mission. We seek your support through a grant amounting to $10,000 for developing and implementing our program over one year. With this funding, we will be able to serve 100 young adults, providing them with quality financial education and support services.
\n We have prepared a detailed budget and work plan to share with you upon request. Also, we would like to have the opportunity to discuss our proposal in more detail to provide further insights into our project.
