Financial support will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of these events, as it will enable us to compensate authors for their time, expertise, and travel expenses. By covering author fees, we will be able to attract a diverse range of writers, offering our students exposure to various writing styles, perspectives, and genres.

Monetary support will be used for purchasing copies of the authors’ books so that event attendees will not have a fee to participate in the book events encouraging children to engage with literature while supporting authors’ work. Access to high-quality literature through these book talks enriches reading experiences, nurtures critical thinking skills, and promotes empathy and cultural understanding.

Furthermore, supporting a series of book talks cultivates collaboration within the community. Educators, parents and the surrounding community will come together to promote literacy and celebrate the power of storytelling.

In conclusion, backing a series of book talks with children’s book authors is an investment in education, creativity, and community engagement. These book talks will inspire a love for reading and curiosity that can positively shape children’s lives for years to come.

Total Project Budget: 10,000

Other Funding
Sources For The Project (Committed & Potential): Board Support, Additional Foundation grants

Project Duration: 1 year
Geographical Area Served: NYC
Age Group To Be Served: 4-9 year olds

Contact Information

Contact Prefix (Mr,Mrs etc.): Mrs
Contact First Name: Princess
Contact Last Name: Lyles
Contact Title: Director of Advancement & External Affairs
Contact Phone: 212-348-0952
Contact Email: plyles@manhattancountryschool.org

Hermanowski Family Foundation Initial Request Form Organization Name: Manhattan Country School Legal Name (if Different): Also Known As: MCS Mailing Address: 150 West 85th Street City: New York State: NY Postal Code: 10024 Main Phone: 212) 348-0952 Ex. 283 Main Fax: Organization Website: manhattancountryschool.org Employer ID Number: 13-2546971 Organization Tax Status: 501(c)3 Proposal Information Today’s […]

[3

post-5030","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-grants
["GET
